  12.                        I try to setup my own dialin uucp node , for
  13. that reason I let one 14k4 modem talk to a sportster 28k8
  14. I use the good old waffle (uucico '92), I don't use a fossil
  15. driver. The sportster is the answering device, the 14k4
  16. the calling device. Via run in waf\bin ; start waiting
  17. for a call, on a call from the 14k4 I got connect on
  18. both sides ,but than the login screen at the sportster
  19. side is translated as garbage on the 14k4 side.

  21. -What is the working init-string for the waffle sportster side?

  23. -What that string for the 14k4 side?

  25. -Is there a problem with the uucico
  26.  
  27. -Is it a must to have a fossil? (is that maybe the problem)

  29. -Do I have to switch off maybe some sportster switches?

  31. (P.S. before my sportster and 14k4 are able to communicate
  32. with my smarthost on their on as calling devices !)
